The Marshall Historical Society will present a workshop on wood graining at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Capitol Hill School. Debra Whelan, a potrait artist who taught herself how to do wood graining, will be the presenter. She will demonstrate the techniques and provide a list of needed supplies. Debra's wood-graining has been on display at her Octagon house during the past two Marshall Historic Home Tours. Participants will have the opportunity for hands-on experiences. The event is open to the public with a $10 admission charge and free to historical society members. There is a limit of 20 participants. Reservations can be made at 269-781-8544 or at email@example.com.
